Earth day is a holiday that I personally dont really participate in. I do believe it is important to take a day to remember our earth and care for it a little extra. In elementary school we did some earth day projects but nothing spectaculiar that I remember. Some things that I found out about earth day are, 1) it was started by John McConnel and the first earth day was March 21,1970.2)Leonardo DiCaprio was host of earth day in 2000
3)it is called earth day because "its practical and obvious)
