National month of

Here in America we are a werid people. We celebrate odd things that we honestly dont need to such as Finacncial literacy month, School library month, and Polycisctic ovary month. You have probably not hear of these, maybe a few people  "celebrate" these things if they directly effect their lives, but im sure they dont every day of the month.  If I made a commerative month I would make "National why do we have so many commeritive months month" its just another pointless celebration, we could probably petiotion to throw away our old non - useful celebratory months.

Dont Tap the white tile

Their is a new game app sweeping the app store, and I am not reluctant to say that I am addicted to it. In this game you basiclly just tap black tiles as they move along the screen; avoiding the white ones. Their are different game modes that go for fastest time and longest distance. The reason this game is so addicting to me is because my friends also play it and we all try to beat eachother. I do not think it will ever end.

Violence on TV

Today, violence is a prevolent genre in media. You see it everywhere in movies, tv shows, and even games. If it does not have violence is it cool? Probably not. But do I think that its bad? No, Violence has been present in the human race ever since society was a thing, I do not believe it has a direct effect on the behavior of humans, they see things that are worse.  An example of a violent tv show that I can think of that I watch is Dexter, its a show about this man who is a serial killer because he physcologiclly needs to do it, but he only kills very bad criminals and is a good person at heart.

Cinco De Mayo

I am not very fluent in spanish. Or Spanish culture for that matter; that probably explains why I dont full know what Cinco De Mayo is.  I think it has something to do with Spanish indepencence like our 4th of July. But that is probably the extent of my knowlege about it.  Hopefully I can become more knowldgeable about Spanish in general and maybe even celebrate it one day.

Today is also national no homework day. I also did not know this but I guess it is true because I have no homework.  So I guess im going to spend it not doing homework!

Prom

I am very conflicted about prom, on one hand I think it is a waste of money and time when you can just do something way more fun for way less money. It has become ridiculous the amount of money needed so be spent on just a few hours. (for guys 150-200) (for girls it can be well over that amount) on the other hand I would not mind going if I had the money to spend and I was taking an awesome girl that wanted to go.  I also think it is more important to go senior year than freshman-junior. This year I am not going to prom but debating on just going to after prom.

Earth day 2014

Earth day is a holiday that I personally dont really participate in.  I do believe it is important to take a day to remember our earth and care for it a little extra.  In elementary school we did some earth day projects but nothing spectaculiar that I remember.  Some things that I found out about earth day are, 1) it was started by John McConnel and the first earth day was March 21,1970.
2)Leonardo DiCaprio was host of earth day in 2000
3)it is called earth day because "its practical and obvious)

Boring

This is the first time since 6th grade I have not done a spring sport, and it feels really werid! Most of the time I have no idea what to do after school; most of the time I try to workout to stay in shape.  Not doing track was the correct desicion I think.  I have more time to do homework and I can weightlift.  On the otherhand I kind of miss the team aspect of track and pole vaulting.
